We Stamp For Cash

Roger Morales

Would you turn down a job if the SS does not want to pay for E-Docs

Would you take the job or turn it down?

I agree we need to be united in higher fees. The money is their to pay us. A title company gets $250 for doing a loan in office. They can afford to pay us those rates. Its there and its coming out of the borrowers pocket whether it is done in the office or by an individual notary. We should be getting the same rate as the title companies. We bow down to signing companies who I am sure are getting that rate and title companies who are two bit.

$75.00 should be the very least an NSA should accept. But thats just me.

I agree with Claudia, Vonnie, Maddie and John. I won't drive anywhere for less than $50 for a simple notarization (that includes one signature and travel fee); $75 for overnight loan docs is the least NSAs should accept; and I won't do e-docs for less than $100. In fact, even though the market has slowed down a little, I am considering increasing the e-docs fee to $125 because of high gas prices, cost of advertising, supplies, etc.

John ~ I won't do Countrywide e-docs (one set) for less than $150 because they're a lot of work!

I think Vonnie said it perfectly: "Did you think about the cost to you if you ever do get called into a court room?" I couldn't agree more and know especially in California where I'm located- we're definitely playing "a risky game... and need to up our prices and stick to our guns."

I know what I'm worth and I won't settle for less! As notaries, we all need to be on the same page.

I agree with the country wide loans they are crazy and I am thinking they are worth every penny of $200 because I now have to fax back every single page. Yikes!! That and I did a Richmond title doc today they are very long and detailed to. Whoa I tell ya where do these people get all these papers and why do they have almost the same exact doc like three of for times. It gets old is all.

Whine had a signing tonight about 40 miles from my home for the first time I forgot to bring my briefcase with the doc in it. Thank you Lord that the signers were very understanding and I went back to get it and everything worked out ok.

Glad you mentioned this - I have not had to fax back to countrywide, but now that you have clued me in guess I'll have to ask what type of loan & from who b4 I accept an assignment. I will definetly increase my fee. I usually do 12 free fax backs & 12cents a page after that. This should be interesting.

Right here in town I charge up front an extra $25 for printing and $25 for faxbacks for CountryWide and FiServe...and I'm not sure that's enough. LOL

Anyone work for Richmond Title lately? Their docs are just about as hard as a countrywide doc.

Haven't had one from them since March. Charged them an extra $25 for the voluminous docs. Don't think I had a faxback to them that I recall.

Cool i think I will definitely charge more next time.
