- Hi there. I live in North San Diego County, about two miles from the beach. My two bedroom condo overlooks the La Costa Golf Course. I love it here!! It is so quiet!! I can't even hear the golf balls being hit, unless I open my window.
I have recently bought a nice HP 3005dn Laser Printer. It prints beautifully. Now all I need is a job to print on it! I also need to see if it prints out both sizes of paper automatically, or if I need to do those seperately. It seems like for the money I paid for it, it should!! Maybe I should write to HP about it.
I am trying my best to do my best. I do not have any prices yet, so you could offer me something when you call. I also do not have a website yet, but I do have memberships in several different notary communites, such as NNA. I am very eager to learn, so please give me a try! Also, I do not have a company name, as I let my old one expire. Now the person with my old company name is making some big bucks!! Darn it!! I should not have let it go!!
I have been a notary since July 2005. I have not done anything with it, because I made enough money with the school district. This year, I have had a lot of extenuating circumstances that just would not allow me to keep any of my saved money. So, I had to use it. Darn.
I also just found out from my school district job that I was laid off. Wonderful. They had budget cuts. You don't think you will be let go after 10 1/2 years!! They also just lowered the retirement age, so I was thinking about retiring and doing real estate and notaries in a few years! Dang!! Will somebody please work me??
I have been looking around at Real Estate schools lately. I tried to enroll in Palomar College just the other day. What a MESS that was!! So, I think I will go with one of the private colleges. It also seems to cost the same amount for the basic stuff. It is online as well. So, I can keep my lessons learned. I know that real estate isn't doing so hot right now, but my Grandmother has a real estate office and I wanted to see if I could help her, when she needs it.

I forgot to mention that maybe you can call the printer manufacturer and ask if they can put your printer on a driver that will make it draw legal/ltr size paper automatically. I had to do that with one of mine.

Thanks for the invite. Have you completed any signings yet? I've been completing more private notarizations lately - that is way cool getting your money on spot.
On the laser printers be very careful as most do not automatically select legal/letter and any of the color ones will use up the color when printing black so you have to set them to grayscale.
My friend bought an HP model T1320 and it has been wonderful. I got stuck w/a 2605dn- do not go there lol. But I like HP as they stick by their products and even sent me an exchange printer for nothing. There techs are great too.
I am charging $75 for the first 25miles for one mortgage and then $25 per set of docs. I'm in a rural area and I have to really watch the milage when accepting an assignment as zip codes are not a good indication.
