I started doing mobile notary/signing agent work last year. I completed certification with NNA & 123Notary. I have worked hard to become a true professional and my business is building nicely. A friend, who told me about this business, and I give each other feedback. I love these networks for sharing experiences/knowledge.
Thank You so much for your understanding of my situation having to stand up to the monster mortgage company. I am so glad that you have not only stuck to your fees but you've raised them to. That is what it takes for us to ensure that our field of work is respected. It's kind of like the industry is a dictator and it takes a revolt (which in some respects is kind of happening in a backwards sort of way with the banks) to stand up to this machine (aka greedy people) to be treated fairly. I have heard stories over and over of notaries being blamed for "telling" a customer not to sign their loan-- when it is actually he LO did not explain the loan clearly or in some cases honestly. I have been in many signings where the LO wants for me to help him persuade the customer--c'mon that is not our job!! The best LO's do not put a notary in that situation. Good Luck and perseverance for sticking to your guns Marilyn! I am proud of you! Mel
