- I live here in beautiful Seattle. Becoming a notary changed my life, as cheesy as that sounds. I started working part-time as a mobile notary while in college in 2001.
This industry has been very good to me and I'm way excited about helping other notary businesses improve their bottom line with job requests direct from lenders via the NotaryBay platform.
I love to run, it keeps me sane! I'm a huge Seahawks fan, and at least once a week you can find me running receiver routes with my younger brother. NotaryBay is my current big project, but I also do some freelance writing as well as SEM (search engine marketing) consulting. I'm a huge geek, but I feel like I can relate well with wide ranges of people (partly thanks to hundreds of signing jobs meeting random couples!). I do some volunteer work once a week at a Homeless outreach program here in downtown Seattle. It's usually the highlight of my week!

- I was out in the WAY back woods of western WA. I was leaving a signing (borrowers didn't want to sign...son lived in trailer in front of yard. I kept hearing gunshots the whole time I was there). As I was getting back on a main road (from dirt), I see this guy coming towards me flailing his hands to flag me down...
"Fire! Fire!" the guy yells. "What?" I ask.
"My trailer is on fire! (points down the road to a giant fireball where his trailer is engulfed in flames)". "Oh my gosh, what can I do?" I ask. "can you take me down the road to Jimmie's, my cousin, I think he has a fire exteguisher!" "OK, hop in...."
So, this guy with no teeth in overalls hops in the back seat of my scion Xb and we FLY down the dirt road to get a fire extinguisher. We get to his cousins house, he runs out, grabs his cousin, they both get in the car, and I fly back up towards the flaming RV.
They try to put out the fire (the whole front end of the RV was in flames), with little success. A fire truck shows up, but by the time they get their gear on, the RV was half gone. They put the rest out, and the guy is just in tears. I felt really bad for him, he was literally driving it home from the dealership where he had just bought it.
It was intense. So, not directly notary related, but I was only out in that part of the woods because of a job, and I was in a suit when all this happened. Crazy.

I only go there these days out of necessity to make sure I am not missing any important information. Most of it is angry, unprofessional people. That is why I come here. I would post this and how much I love your site, but I don't want to waste my time arguing with them.
You should check it out, though because it upsets me that people are saying these things about you.
I think you run a great site and the most professional and positive one as well.
Anyway, please check out the Notary Rotary forum and perhaps you can say something back....or like me....not even waste your time. I just want you to know because it is not right what people do sometimes and I want you to know.

Where's the little link at the top of the page for My Friends (where I can see who hasn't responded to my friends request)? Also, was not able to send you a message nor make any friends requests.
Do you need any Lenders Names & Address by State? I have a collection of I believe about 6,000 on only 3 States.

I haven't been on much in the past several months. My work load has not been the same in several months. Down a Ton of Signings. Anyways...I found a very helpful resource (for all us notaries with BAD Signings Co.) to help in the collection of payment, with the help of an Attorney. I wasn't sure if I could give the website out and wanted to check it out with you first. I will get back with you with more details. What is the rules on this issue? Talk with you soon...

Yes, I'm in Northern CA in the beautiful Gold Country, NO Smog, yes, we have "red necks" like your trailer on fire story. The only thing I miss about the city is the wide array of GOOD food.
Okay, now I know you think I am a SF fan and wondering why I said 3-0. Well I may root for them this year, but my team is green and yellow. Yep, I'm a proud Cheesehead and hope that Brett can retire on a big win.

Thanks for inviting me to be a "network buddy". I have unfortunately seen my business decrease with the market, but am trying to expand it beyond signings. Sounds like you are very busy. Tell me more about your voulunteer outreach to the homeless. Is it through a church, community program, or what?
